Diggin'Dukes is the one day that the JMU Athletics community has the opportunity to come together to collectively support the JMU Athletics individual sport program restricted gift funds. JMU Athletics is proud to field 18 fully-funded varsity sport programs. Funds raised during the Diggin'Dukes campaign will support sport program initiatives that are above and beyond each program's fully-funded operating budget.
Diggin'Dukes is one campaign with 20 causes — this includes 18 varsity sport programs, cheerleading, and the Duke Club Proud & True Fund (the JMU Athletics annual fund). The Duke Club is the fundraising arm of JMU Athletics. (Gifts to the Duke Club go to the Proud & True Fund to benefit all 18 varsity sport programs, cheerleading, and the JMU Athletics general operating budget.)
Your gift, no matter the amount, will make a BIG IMPACT on more than 500 student-athletes, across 18 varsity sport programs and cheerleading. Throughout the campaign you'll have the opportunity to hear directly from JMU student-athletes, coaches, and ambassadors about how your support matters to them and their teams.
Sport program funds are restricted-use funds that can only be utilized by the individual sport program. 100% of gifts made to sport program funds go to the selected sport program and are 100% tax deductible. Sport programs have the opportunity to earn bonus funds for the most donors participating. This means your gift has the opportunity to go further and make an even BIGGER impact.

Building Excitement: Show your Dukes pride and encourage participation in Diggin’Dukes.
Encouraging Giving: Share your reasons for giving back and encourage others to do the same.
Spreading Good News: Be the first to know and share exciting Diggin’Dukes updates and milestones.
Host a Challenge — a giving challenge for which the donor sets a goal, financial or number of donors, to encourage participation.
If the goal is met or exceeded, additional funds are unlocked that go to benefit the sport program the challenge was supporting.

Check & See if Your Company Matches Gifts — gifts that is made by an individual donor that are matched by the company at which the individual donor works. You can double or even triple your gift!
